Substitute alkali

Substitute alkali agent is an optimized alkali agent used in the reactive dyeing and printing process of cellulose fibers, and can also be employed as a pre-treatment alkali agent, offering excellent pH buffering effects. In the reactive dyeing and printing processing of cellulose fibers and their blended fabrics, it can replace soda ash in traditional processes at 1/8 to 1/10 of the amount.

1. It does not alter the original dyeing process, is simple to apply, and the usage amount is only 1/8–1/10 of traditional soda ash; 
2. It disperses evenly in dye liquor or printing paste color paste, avoiding color unevenness and gray damage; its buffering effect is particularly suitable for pH-sensitive dyes; 
3. It is suitable for various reactive dyes with good reproducibility; excellent leveling properties can slow down the dye fixation rate without affecting color yield. For more sensitive shades, it effectively overcomes color unevenness and layer differences (package dyeing); 
4. It offers good washability, especially prominent in deep dyeing, and provides excellent dry and wet rubbing fastness; post-dyeing washing is extremely convenient (even eliminating the need for HAc neutralization), particularly for deep shades. Even with poor-quality water in dye houses and high concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions, there is no risk of white spots or frost caused by residual carbonates from incomplete washing with soda ash; 
5. By eliminating nearly ten times the amount of "solid soda ash," it saves warehouse space in dye houses, facilitates storage management, improves the working environment, and significantly reduces the treatment load of printing and dyeing wastewater, thereby lessening environmental pollution; 
6. It is suitable for various equipment, with particularly notable effects in package dyeing equipment; it enables synchronous dyeing and fixation under various reactive dyes and different bath ratios.

Reference dosage: 

1. Generally, use 0.8-3.8g/l (approximately 1/8–1/10 of the soda ash dosage). Factories must conduct color matching trials before use. Although this product has been validated in large-scale production, equipment processes and operating conditions vary among factories. It is essential to confirm through small-scale trials before large-scale application. 

2. When dyeing medium to dark shades, if the color yield is too light, the amount of Glauber's salt (8-12g/l) can be appropriately increased, or the holding time can be extended (about 15-30 minutes). For issues with asynchronous dyeing of single colors in special composite shades, the holding temperature can be adjusted to regulate dye uptake.
